Teddy Bear Drive – 3rd Grade Service Learning Project

Rolling Hills Families and Students,

The 3rd grade would love your help with our teddy bear drive. We will gather teddy bears collected from now until the day we leave for spring break.  Please send in your donation by Friday, March 18, 2016. Those teddy bears will be donated to the Meridian Police Department, who will keep the bears in their patrol cars to use in situations where children are involved. They will give the teddy bears out as a way to provide comfort. We will also be using this as an opportunity to spread kindness through the #Sylviawould campaign. Sylvia King, 15, a former student at Rolling Hills, passed away last December. Her friends and loved ones started a kindness movement in her memory. Our third graders want to be a part of that kindness movement, and so they will be attaching #Sylviawould kindness tags to each teddy bear that is donated.
Teddy bears should be new or gently used. Teddy bears only, please. Thank you!
