Thursday, September 6, 2018, starting at 5:30 p.m.
**This evening is intended for adults, please make childcare arrangements, if possible.**
Come find more about the 2018-2019 school year at Rolling Hills, your child’s teacher and classroom, and opportunities for parent involvement. Teachers will present about their classroom schedules, rules, expectations, volunteer opportunities, and answer questions you may have. To accommodate parents with children in multiple grades, each classroom presentation will be repeated every 1/2 hour between 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. (If you only have 1 or 2 child/children at RHPCS, feel free to come to a later classroom presentation so you can attend the schoolwide presentation beginning at 7 p.m. without extra waiting.)
Beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Café, we will present information about schoolwide family expectations, volunteer opportunities, and Title services at Rolling Hills . The Parent Faculty Association (PFA), RHPCS School Board Members, our Athletic Director, and other school wide representatives will be present during the evening.
Title 1 Introductory Meeting- Rolling Hills Public Charter School (RHPCS) has the privilege of being a Title 1 School, which means we receive additional funding through the Federal Title 1 program designed to help ensure that all children have the opportunity to obtain a high-quality education. During our schoolwide presentations you will learn more about Title 1 and how it will benefit your student(s), and have the opportunity to ask questions and give feedback. For more information, see the Title 1 Parent Letter attached.
RHPCS Volunteer Training following the schoolwide information (starting about 7:45 p.m.) –Our school relies on our many wonderful volunteers that contribute their time and talents. Through volunteer efforts, students benefit in many areas from individual assistance to classroom celebrations and school-wide activities. In order to insure consistency for all adults volunteering in the school, we provide a basic level of training and orientation regarding school and classroom rules, policies, and procedures. These guidelines will be in effect for volunteers throughout the 2018-2019 school year. Annual volunteer training is mandatory prior to volunteering in the classroom or school. Volunteers need only attend 1 of the offered training / orientation session each year. Once you have attended a training/ orientation you are certified as a volunteer for the entire year.
