RHPCS Next Year - Continuing Enrollment / Siblings / Open House / Enrollment Lottery

2/27/2018

RHPCS Families,

Hard to believe it, but it is already time to begin preparations for the 2018-2019 school year – starting with our upcoming enrollment lottery.

What RHPCS families need to know and do during this process…

  1. Reserve your currently enrolled child’s placement at RHPCS for 2018-2019.  Each of our currently enrolled students is guaranteed placement at RHPCS next school year, but we need your response to confirm that your child will be returning and that we should hold your child’s seat.  Watch for a goldenrod colored “Letter of Intent for Student Enrollment for 2018-2019 School Year” form that was sent home with your child.  Please take just a minute to complete, sign & return this form by Monday, March 19, 2018.  Your response to the Letter of Intent reserves or releases your child’s spot for next school year.  An electronic copy of this form is attached with this email, just in case you haven’t received one for your child in a timely fashion.  (Note:  This Letter of Intent form is not required from our 8th grade students.)

2.Submit an Enrollment Lottery Application for not yet enrolled siblings (if applicable).   If you have a child (upcoming kindergartener, 1st grader, or other sibling to your currently enrolled Rolling Hills student) that is not yet enrolled at Rolling Hills who you would like to have attend Rolling Hills in the fall, you need to submit an enrollment lottery application for this/these sibling(s) no later than 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018.  Siblings of enrolled students have “sibling priority” during the enrollment lottery.  A copy of the lottery application is attached with this email, available on the school website or can be picked up at the school office.  You can also contact the office to have a hard copy sent home with your student.

3.Share the Rolling Hills Difference - Invite others to consider Rolling Hills.  Please join us in inviting friends, relatives, neighbors, co-workers, or anyone you know that might be interested to find out more about the Rolling Hills Difference.  Our upcoming Open House for Prospective Families on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. will be an excellent time for interested families to visit Rolling Hills and learn more.  Know someone who is interested?  Invite them to the Open House, give them a copy of the lottery application, or have them contact Mrs. Friend at the school office.  Your personal recommendation is truly our best form of marketing and recruitment!

Thank you in advance for your attention to these important preparations.  As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions.

All the best,

Teri Friend

Survey for RHPCS Fundraiser

2/27/2018

Hello Parents,

The PFA is working hard on earning money for playground upgrades to take place this summer. In addition to the Spring Concert Auction and Papa John’s fundraiser, we are considering a Paint Nite Fundraiser. We need a minimum of 25 people. It is a great opportunity to earn and connect with our community but also a big commitment. Since the PFA hasn’t done anything like this before, we need to see the interest level.  Can you please complete this two question survey so we can gage interest? It will take less than a minute and be much appreciated.

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3BQXBTV

We have two upcoming meetings located at Rembrants in Eagle.
Tuesday March 6th – Discussing playground fundraising opportunities and upcoming Spring Concert and Auction
Wednesday April 4th – Playground and next school year’s budget are on the agenda

You can RSVP for either meeting here https://www.facebook.com/groups/1057116764384304/events/  We could love to see you there.

Sincerely,
Rolling Hills PFA

We need your help to make this community service project a huge success!  Please consider sending in items for our donation drive.  Donation boxes are by the 1st grade classroom door.
