It looks like winter has arrived for the Holidays! So now that snow is here how will you know if Rolling Hills will be closed for a “Snow Day” due to inclement weather or hazardous road conditions? Because Rolling Hills is its own school district, this is a decision that our School Administrator, Mr. Pratt, makes for our school specifically. He bases his decision on the weather, but even more importantly, the road conditions information available.
How you will be notified:
Information will be posted as early as practical – but no later than 7:10 a.m. If there is no news listed by 7:10 a.m., please assume school will be in session.
The regular December RHPCS School Board meeting will be held Thursday, December 17 at 5:30 p.m. in the school café. All are invited and encouraged to attend. Click here for a copy of the meeting agenda: December 2015 Meeting Agenda

RHPCS students in grades K-6 can read their way to a FREE DAY at Roaring Springs Waterpark!
RHPCS will again be participating in the Roaring Readers Program offered by Roaring Springs Waterpark. This program is designed to encourage elementary school age children to read for fun. Every student who completes and tracks the required minutes of recreational reading and submits the completed and signed tracking chart (included with this email) by the 4/1/2016 deadline is eligible for a free admission ticket.
Please be sure to read the attached information page carefully (hard copy should come home with your child/children by the end of this week). Here are the highlights:
The reading counted toward your child’s progress for the Roaring Reader Program is required to be “recreational reading” – reading above and beyond what your child must do for homework and/or class assignments. Your child can read books, magazines, newspapers, comic books, etc. Kids can read silently, aloud, or with an adult – you can read to your child, or your child can read to you.
Start reading today! Completed and signed Roaring Reader Program Student Charts are due no later than Friday, April 1, 2016. Late entries cannot be accepted.
