Rolling Hills is nestled at the base of the Boise Foothills near the Idaho State Veterans Cemetary. Conveniently located just minutes from Boise, Eagle, and Meridian, the school is just Northeast of the WinCo shopping center in Eagle and adjacent to the Optimist Sports Complex. Rolling Hills school day is 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for all grades
Rolling Hills will have a slightly modified traditional school calendar. The calendar is adopted by the Governing Board annually. Click here for our current school year calendar.
Rolling Hills Public Charter School is a public school under the state of Idaho and as such is tuition-free. RHPCS is open to all students, regardless of the public school district boundaries of your residence. There are no admission tests or requirements.
Prospective students will be given the opportunity to enroll regardless of race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, sex, familial status, social or economic status. English Language learners and students who qualify for Gifted & Talented Programs or require Special Education Services are welcome to apply. Rolling Hills is a one-school, independent school district under the Idaho State Department of Education. Idaho School District #0454, School # 0574. Our charter school authorizing agency is the Idaho Public Charter School Commission
Rolling Hills is an intentionally small school, allowing us to maintain an environment that fosters high expectations for student behavior and achievement. RHPCS has one class of each grade Kindergarten through 8th grade and currently serves approximately 260 students.
Rolling Hills has adopted a school Dress code/Uniform Standard as one method we use to create a positive, safe, respectful, structured learning environment. Students are expected to have a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. Click here for more specific information about our Uniform Standard.
Busing is not currently available. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from school. A number of local child care providers do offer to/from school transportation to Rolling Hills. If your will be utilizing before and/or after school care, check with your child care provider to see if this service may be available.
Food Services/Child Nutrition
Rolling Hills is partnering with the Idaho Child Nutrition Program and the National School Lunch Program to provide healthy meals for our students. Click here for more information about our school lunch program.

Root 4 Green - Environmental Education
Rolling Hills is a true community school, sitting on land acquired from the Patten Dairy Farm. It has embraced its historical roots and the culture of the surrounding area with our "Root 4 Green" environmental education program. Rolling Hills promotes students seeing themselves as part of the larger community through classroom and schoolwide Service Learning opportunities. Service Learning is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities (Learn and Serve America National Service Learning Clearinghouse).
On May 26, 2016, in recognition of Rolling Hills' support of the military population in our community, Rolling Hills Public Charter School was named a "Purple Heart School" by the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
