Mrs. Pfaff has been teaching for 10 years, mostly in Harbor Method schools. For the last two years, she has been teaching at Rolling Hills as the fifth grade teacher and most recently as the sixth grade teacher. She also teaches seventh and eighth-grade students language and writing. Mrs. Pfaff has taught all grades ranging from fourth grade to eighth grade.
Mrs. Pfaff’s most satisfying moment as a teacher is when she knows that her students know she loves them, and they feel comfortable enough to try anything. After getting her undergraduate degree from Montana State University, she went on to get her Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Northwest Nazarene University. She also has worked extensively with the National Writing Project, and is a teacher consultant for Boise State in math and writing. She shares her passion with her students as she coaches them to write and keep writing, and to learn and keep learning. For herself, Mrs. Pfaff is writing a children’s story she is hoping to publish in the near future. When she’s not writing, Mrs. Pfaff enjoys reading current books like The Overton Window, Bird by Bird, One Up on Wall Street, and Writing Down the Bones. Her favorite author changes constantly, but anyone who writes about how to better yourself, she’s all ears…err, eyes! A resident of Boise for the last nine years, Mrs. Pfaff lives with her husband, Brian, and their cat Darla. They enjoy traveling and biking. Mrs. Pfaff has a passion for Cross-fit training, cooking, photography, and her favorite place, Mykonos, Greece. |
