School secretary is a position with broad possibilities and responsibilities and there is no one better qualified than Mrs. Teri Friend to manage the activities and challenges that come across her desk each day. She is the first person you meet when arriving at Rolling Hills, and her kindness and competence are appreciated by parents, staff, and students.
When asked about her most satisfying experience at Rolling Hills, Mrs. Friend said, “I love being a part of the daily lives of the students here. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to love them for the amazing individuals they are. I am blessed to see their successes. I also greatly appreciate the wonderful parents we have at the school and the vast talents they share with the students.”
Before joining the staff at Rolling Hills in 2010, Mrs. Friend held several positions. She sold outdoor electric signs for a national sign company based in Boise. She retired from that position to be a stay-at-home mom until her children were school age. Then she worked part-time for the Idaho Bankers Association.
Mrs. Friend earned her BS in Business Administration/Strategic Management from California State University at Sacramento.
Mrs. Friend has lived in Boise for the last 16 years. She moved here from Sacramento, California. Her family includes husband Bret, children Grace and Brandon, both attend Rolling Hills. Pets include dog named Abby, three indoor cats, Red, Bob, and Skipper; two outdoor farm cats Blackie and Skittles; two dairy goats Missy and Lily; and 50 or so free-range chickens.
Mrs. Friend’s hobbies include spending time with her family, experiencing life through the eyes of her children, teaching Sunday school, reading, baking, and making jewelry.
She enjoys reading the Bible because it is amazingly fresh, alive, and so pertinent to the moment every time she opens it. Mrs. Friend is also a fan of young adult fiction. She finds that it is usually creative, engaging, and entertaining without all the negative stuff – killing, bad language, negativity, etc., that you may find in many adult fiction books. She loved the Harry Potter series (J.K Rowling) and the Hunger Games trilogy (Suzanne Collins) |
