Mrs. Botsford is going into her second year of teaching, this year as the kindergarten teacher at Rolling Hills.  She graduated from Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) and landed her first teaching assignment as one of the two 3rd grade teachers at Rolling Hills during the 2010-2011 school year. She was awarded Student Teacher of the Year during her internship at NNU.

To date, Mrs. Botsford’s most satisfying teaching experience was during her internship when she worked with a student who had difficulty grasping math concepts. Mrs. Botsford loved seeing the joy on the student’s face when she mastered new concepts and solved problems successfully.

When asked about her goal for the school year, Mrs. Botsford’s said,  “To make my classroom a fun and interactive environment where my students love to participate and learn.”

Mrs. Botsford is an Idaho native. She grew up in Meridian and continues to live there today with her husband Steve, baby Reegan, and their two black labs Sobie and Gambit.

Mrs. Botsford’s favorite book is the Bible and she enjoys scrapbooking, biking, camping, and reading.
