Welcome to Rolling Hills!

Located in Boise, Idaho we educate children Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Rolling Hills is a Harbor Method school and subscribes to the belief that a school with a low threat of bullying and harassment can accelerate the learning of students.

Rolling Hills Public Charter School’s mission is to develop educated and engaged citizens through high expectations for student behavior and academic success in a small, safe, structured environment.

Enrollment Lottery Applications are now being accepted for the 2014-2015 school year.  Our 2014-2015 enrollment lottery drawing has been completed, but applications for enrollment can still be submitted.  Applications received at this time will be added to the wait list that was established during the lottery process.   Click here for an application and more information about our  enrollment process.    Please contact our school office for current placement availability.

Monday, August 4 – School office reopens for regular office hours, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m Monday-Friday until school begins, unless otherwise specified.

Thursday, August 7 – School office closed for staff to attend Idaho State Dept. of Education training conference.

Monday-Wednesday, August 11-13 – Finalize student registration. Drop In Dates/Times to finalize student registration (for ALL students).  This process will officially register your child for the 2014-2015 school year.  Watch for more information to come.

August 18-22 – HoopEd Summer Camp – Rolling Hills is pleased to partner with HoopEd Boise to offer on-site sports camps during our out of school times.Two session of HoopEd’s Hoops Basketball camp will be held at RHPCS this summer (also June 30-July3).  Plan ahead now to have your child participate in these fun and active camps.  HoopEd camps are open to children from throughout the community, so feel free to share this information with interested family, friends, neighbors, etc.   HoopEd brings high quality, fun, sport based activities to elementary and middle school aged children in growing numbers. HoopEd programs adhere to the philosophy that sports are played to have FUN, and that many of life’s greatest lessons can be learned on playing fields and courts. Thursday, August 21 – Kindergarten Assessment with Mrs. Korn. Drop in 3:00 – 7:00 p.m., expect your time for assessment to be approximately 30 minutes.

Thursday, August 21 – “Meet the Teacher” Night, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m..  Families are invited to come to the school, tour the school, view the classrooms, meet your child’s teachers, and drop off school supplies.  Representatives from our RHPCS Parent Faculty Association and Tiger Athletic Boosters will be available to meet and talk with you about how you can be a part of and/or support these groups that enhance our student experience.

Monday, August 25 – First day of school at RHPCS - Full regular school day hours (Grades 1-8, 2:30 p.m. dismissal, Kindergarten 11:00 a.m. dismissal)

Monday, August 25 – RHPCS Girls Volleyball team practice continues with regular afterschool practices, 2:45 – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday, unless otherwise communicated.

Monday, September 1 – Labor Day, No School for staff & students

Tuesday, September 2 – First volleyball game (Away). RHPCS vs. Riverstone at Riverstone.

Thursday, September 4 – Open House Night for Rolling Hills Families and Staff, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. followed by RHPCS Volunteer Training Session 6:30 – 7:00 p.m. Watch for more information to come.

Tuesday, September 9 – RHPCS Girls Volleyball Game (at RHPCS).

Thursday, September 11 – RHPCS Girls Volleyball Game (Away) RHPCS vs. Horseshoe Bend at Horseshoe Bend.
