Welcome to Rolling Hills!

Located in Boise, Idaho we educate children Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Rolling Hills is a Harbor Method school and subscribes to the belief that a school with a low threat of bullying and harassment can accelerate the learning of students.

Rolling Hills Public Charter School’s mission is to develop educated and engaged citizens through high expectations for student behavior and academic success in a small, safe, structured environment.

Enrollment Lottery Applications are now being accepted for the 2014-2015 school year.  Applications must be received in the school office by 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 4 to be included in the lottery drawing which will be held on Wednesday, April 9.   Click here for an application and more information about our fall  enrollment process.  Immediate placement for the 2013-2014 is available in some grades.  Please contact our school office for current placement availability.

Tiger Talk:

Next Tiger Talk session will be Thursday, April 17 at 5:30 p.m.   Topic: Parent Involvment. RHPCS Administrator, Mr. Shane Pratt, invites parents to attend his monthly “Tiger Talk” meetings.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend.  Tiger Talk is an opportunity for parents to dialogue with the Administrator about the school and a forum to find out more Rolling Hills – where we are now and where we are headed into the future. Thursday, May 1, 2014 – BoxTop Collection Contest End.  BRING IN YOUR BOX TOPS!!! WIN A PARTY!!! We are currently only $190 away from meeting our 2013-2014 school year goal of earning $1000 through the Box Tops for Education!  In an attempt to hit our target we are doing one last box top competition before summer break. Send in your trimmed tops and the classroom with the most will win a party sponsored by the PFA! Deadline for box top submissions is Thursday, May 1st.

While fun is always at the top of the agenda, learning and getting better are always the priority at HoopEd events.

Thursday, May 8, 2014 – Ford Drive 4 UR School at RHPCS 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Rolling Hills Charter School has been presented the opportunity to participate in the FORD Test Drive Fundraiser Program on Thursday, May 8th with Kendall Ford of Meridian. Get your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers to test drive a Ford during this special event and Ford will make a $20 donation to Rolling Hills Charter School for every driver (18 & over) that completes a test drive and a short survey.  There will be several cars set up to facilitate the express test drive.

Our goal is 300 test drives for up to $6,000.  Let’s not pass up this opportunity to help Rolling Hills get the most from theDrive4URSchool program.  Anyone can participate.   PLEASE be sure to share this event with all your connections by… visiting the event on Facebook via this link: FORD Test Drive for Rolling Hills.  ’JOIN’ the event and invite your friends and/or forward the SignUpGenius Registration Link to their email.

Friday, May 9, 2014 – Annual “Dads” N Dogs hot dog lunch fundraiser during your child’s lunch time.  Don’t let the name fool you!  This event is for the whole family, so mom, dad, grandpa, grandma (even that crazy aunt you’ve been hiding!) are all welcome to come and eat with their favorite student(s)!  We will be serving hotdogs, chips, soda, and cookies, and all proceeds will go to benefit Rolling Hills.  Come enjoy a fun lunch with your RHPCS student(s) during their regularly scheduled lunch time.  Watch for more details to come.

May 9 – 16, 2014 – Scholastic Summer Reading Buy 1 Get 1 Book Fair at RHPCS. Watch for more information to come about book fair hours.  Book fair volunteers are needed for this event, contact Teri Cooper at library@rhpcs.org for more information about volunteering.

Ongoing Activities:

Chess Club - Students can choose to register to attend either Mondays or Wednesdays.  2:30 – 3:30 p.m. in the Cafe.  Open to RHPCS students in grades 1- 8.  All abilities are welcome.   Click here for more information and a registration form.
